In English:
How we learn the alphabet in class 3
When learning I use a soft doll-puppet — Hotch Potch by name. It has long arms and legs. It is a real gentleman. With the help of its flexible arms ans legs I form shapes of letters of the Alphabet.
The pupils are to show the letter with the movement of their bodies but to do it in the right way. It’s a very important moment, because they see it’s mirror reflection.
The children sometimes give their own vision of the letter and very often give better ideas then Hotch Potch. Of course, they are a little bit noisy at that moment.
Afterwards we all together write down the tradition capital and small letters in the air, on the blackboard and in the children’s albums. Then the words, beginning with this letter, follow under.
For example: «the vail» and you see the picture, where one pupil stuck with the glue some real feathers to make a hat with vail more decorative) or the «way» – here the pupil drew the labyrinth with the present in the end.
And once a girl from class three sewed a doll like Mr. Hotch Potch — her own miss Hotch Potch. I think it’s a pure inspiration, which you can find in the end of this work!
